We want parents to be able to relax and fully experience worship without having to worry about what their children are doing. At the same time, we want all of the children to be able to have fun while learning the basics of faith that will help them on their lifelong walk with Christ. Both you and your kids are welcome at every worship and small group. Here are some of the "kid-centric" ministries we offer at Oak Grove.
We love having babies in our service! First off let us stress that you are more than welcome to have your child of any age join you in the worship service, however, we understand that there are times where you may need to take advantage of our church nursery. We offer nursery service throughout our entire morning worship, including Connect groups. Our caring volunteers are parents and grandparents with years of experience with babies and children, allowing you to focus on worship and growing in your faith.
Like all volunteers in our children's ministry, nursery workers must undergo a criminal background check before serving in our nursery.
Kids Connect On Sunday Mornings!
Kid Connect (Sunday School) 10:00 am
Your child's journey with God begins in Kids Connect. Here they have fun while learning about Jesus and the Bible at their level with games and music not just for enjoyment but to also reinforce the lesson.
In addition to the nursery, we offer two classes for children, one for preschool through kindergarten and one for elementary age kids. Both classes utilize LifeWay's Bible Studies For Life Curriculum. (Learn more about it here.) The lessons are designed to go hand in hand with the adult small groups and worship allowing you to have one faith conversation with the whole family.
Children's Church 10:45 am
(begins after choir service)
KIDS GROW ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS!
Our kids mission clubs meet at 7 pm on Wednesday nights for all ages. Don't forget, adults can grow too in their own small groups that meet at the same time.
Mission Friends (Infants - Kindergarten)
Would you like your preschooler to learn about other cultures? How about service? How about doing this all in a caring, Christ-centered environment? Then Mission Friends is the place for you. Every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm our Children's ministry team will help your child grow in faith and understanding as they learn about the mission of the church. For infants - Kindergarten. (If children are not potty trained, then we request their parents attend with them.)

Royal Ambassadors (Boys in Grades 1-6)
Boys in first through sixth grade will love becoming a Royal Ambassador for Christ. RAs provides an opportunity for boys to develop Christian character through missions involvement and virtue commitments, in addition to growing spiritually, physically, mentally, and in relationships with others. With activities like camping, sports, races, crafts and more, boys learn from the men of the church how to grow to be more like Christ. With service and mission opportunities we help them grow into men with a heart for serving others. Learn more about national RA's here.
Girls In Action (Girls in Grades 1-6)
Are your girls ready to put their faith into action? Every girl in grades 1–6 can be a part of Girls in Action! Through GA, girls learn about, pray for, give to, and do missions work. They also make new friends and have lots of fun! Each week the girls are mentored by the women of the church to learn how to use their God-given gifts to help others, share the love of Christ and change the world! With activities like GA camp, crafts, and more the young ladies learn how they can succeed and make a difference. Learn more about national GA's here.
